Everything looked so familiar, I thought as Haku and I zipped passed the buildings and restaurants.
The old traditional buildings and the smells of different foods, they all seemed so familiar, but why?
"We're almost there Chihiro!" Haku said as we ran up some stairs.
He seems really happy. I just wish I could return that feeling.
"Uh Haku?" I said deciding it would be best if I ask him.
"Huh what is it?" He said as he slowed to a stop.
"Um, well, how do I know you?" I asked as I placed my hand against a building trying to catch myself.
Haku stood there, still and silent for a bit, then he smiled.
"The first time we met was a long time ago when you were still a child, and when my home was still around." He said.
"Your home?" I replied
"Yes, it was the Kohaku river." He answered
"The Kohaku river...now that I think about it, the Kohaku river was destroyed when they built apartments there." I said as Haku gazed at me intently.
"Yes, you did tell me that when we met again." He said as he sat down on a bench that was against the building I was leaning on.
"We met again?" I said as I took a seat next to him.
"Yes, it was six years ago. You and your parents had wandered into the Spirit World by accident and got caught up in a mess that both Yubaba and I created. I don't know why, but you helped me through it all, you even saved my life and reminded me who I really was." Haku said as he leaned back a took a deep sigh.
"Is that so?" I said as I looked up at the sky. Ha, even the sky here looks familiar.
"Chihiro." Haku said as he placed his hand against my face.
He looked at me with those sad lonely eyes again. Was I being too insensitive? Should I have not said anything?
"I really did miss you." Haku whispered as he continued to look at me with those sad eyes of his.
I don't know why, but I suddenly started crying.
"Chihiro!" He said panicking.
"I'm sorry, I just can't remember! You know who I am and I don't know who you are! All I can remember is that name!" I cried as Haku held me in his arms.
"It's alright, you'll remember, just give it time." He said as held closer.
I really wish I could remember you, I really wish I could.
"Jeez Haku, she hasn't been here for even two hours and you already made her cry." A familiar voice said.
I looked up and saw a tall woman in a pink uniform like kimono standing with her hands on her hips.
"Leave it alone Rin, she's just a bit overwhelmed." Haku said as wiped the tears from my face.
"Rin?" I said. Why does that name sound so familiar?
Suddenly I remembered that there was a woman who took care of me at Yubaba's bath house. She was pushy, but she was the only one who talked to me. Her name was Rin.
"Wait, I remember you! You helped me while I stayed at the bath house." I exclaimed.
"Yup, and were quite the handful if I remember." she said as she smacked her hand down on my head.
I guess Haku was right, but I still don't understand, why can I remember Rin so well and not him?
I looked over at Haku who was looking down the path we came from from. Was he upset? I guess he would since I was able to remember Rin and not him. I should say something to cheer him up, but what?
"Hey Haku, I guess you were right, all it took was a little time and I already remember this much. I guess it won't take long until I remember it all." I said with a fake smile on my face.
He sighed a bit then smiled.
"Jeez you two are still the same." Rin sighed.
"Well you haven't changed that much either." I replied laughing.
"Who says I want to change." She said as she bonked me on the head.
Well at least the mood has lightened up a bit.
"Rin, if you don't mind, I'd like to be alone with Chihiro for a bit before we head over to the bath house." Haku said as he placed his hand on mine, making me a bit uncomfortable.
Rin stared at Haku and I blankly for a bit before she waved at us and walked away.
As soon as she left Haku took a deep sigh and leaned his back, still holding my hand.
"Haku?" I said, slightly embarrassed.
"Just a bit longer." He said.
"huh?"
"Can we stay like this, just a bit longer." He said as he held my hand more tightly.
I didn't reply, I was too shy to say anything, so I just leaned back as well and looked up at the sky.
The wind blew lightly causing the few clouds that there were to dance across the vast sky. I looked over at Haku who had his eyes shut. For some reason he looked different then I remember. His hair was a lot longer now and he was wearing something that looked like a kamishimo. He also seemed to be more relaxed.
"Haku." I said wanting to ask him something.
"Hmm?" He replied with his eyes still shut.
"Do spirits age?" I asked.
"Some do, it really depends though. Why do you ask." He said as he propped himself up.
"Because I remember you being a lot shorter and you looked like a kid. If you're a river spirit you must be pretty old then." I said without thinking.
Haku sat there quietly for a bit before he snickered.
"What? What's so funny?" I yelled.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. Well it is true that I am 'old' but not in spirit years. In spirit years, I'm probably only seventeen or eighteen." He said while trying to make himself stop laughing.
"Probably?" I said with a raised brow.
"Well I'm pretty sure it's either or, but why did you really ask?" He said as he stood up, letting go of my hand.
"Well I, I'm not really sure." I said embarrassingly.
"I see, well come on. There's something I want to show you before we go to the bath house." He said as he held out his hand.
I hesitated for a second, then taking a deep sigh, I placed my hand in his. He helped me up, and before I knew it, we were off.
"Haku, where are we going?" I yelled as we zipped past a pig pin.
He looked back and smiled, then continued running.
"Haku?" I said, a bit shocked at his reaction.
He just kept tugging me along, it seemed like there was no end to the running, that is until he started to slow down.
As we stopped I noticed that we were miles out from where we had been.
I looked around and saw the bath house far behind us.
"Haku where are we?" I said as started walking.
"You'll see, we're almost there." He said as he pulled me closer.
I felt myself cringe up a bit, then relax.
"Um Haku." I whispered, as I slid my hand away from his.
"What's wrong?" He said as he turned around.
"You're not still working for Yubaba, are you?" I said as I remembered the horrible witch and her lust for gold and her ugly temper.
"Ah, so you remembered that. No I don't, thanks to you I'm living on my own again." He said with a gentle smile on his face.
"All on your own, all by yourself? Don't you get lonely?" I asked as I relaxed. It's good to know he doesn't work for her anymore.
"Yes, but I'm not lonely anymore, or at least, right now." He said as he took my hand again.
"Is that why you where calling me?" I asked as I took my hand away from him again.
"So you figured it out. Yes, for along time I had no friends, no one to trust, no one who would believe in me, but then you came along. When I saw you again, you were so alone and afraid, you clinged onto me, without knowing what kind of person I was, it made me want to protect you, but instead you protected me." He said with sad, lonely eyes.
"Haku?"
"I really wanted to see you again. No, I really needed to see you again." He said as he got closer to me.
"Haku?"
Suddenly Haku wrapped his arms around me and held me tightly.
"I know it's wrong of me to say this, but I want you to stay with me. I know you have to go back to your world soon, but please let me be selfish, please Chihiro." He whispered as he held me even closer.
I couldn't reply, no matter how hard I tried. Haku was right though, I have to go back, back to mom and dad, to Hana and Yuki, and back to Hiro-
My body jolted and shivered at the thought of seeing Hiroshi.
"Chihiro?" Haku said as he backed away.
My entire body was shacking and shivering. I can't go back. If Hiroshi kun is there, then I won't return, even if I can't see everyone else, I just can't.
"Chihiro, are you okay?" Haku said as he looked at me with a scary concerned look on his face.
"I want to stay." I whispered.
"Chihiro?" Haku said looking shocked.
"I want to stay here with you!" I said as I fell into Haku's arms.
"Chihiro." He whispered softly as he held me close.
"I want to be happy right now, you saying that and all, but there has to be a reason. I know your parents are still alive, and that you have friends in your world, so why?" He said as he put his hands on my shoulders and pushed me back.
"I can't, I can't tell you. I just can't go back right now." I said as started to cry.
"Did something happen?" He said as he wiped the tears off my face.
I didn't reply. I can't tell Haku about Hiroshi, it's just too weird.
For a while we just stood there, I guess Haku wanted to give me a minute to reply, but when he realized that I wasn't going to say anything, he took my hand again.
"Chihiro, lets go." He said as we started to walk again.
I nodded my head and followed him.
I looked down and noticed we were walking on train tracks. It seems like I did something like this before, except I was walking with Boh and No-Face that time.
"Ah I just remembered!" I said excitedly.
"What?" Haku said as we continued walking.
"Boh and No-Face! How are they?" I asked as I caught up to Haku.
"Boh has shrunk a bit, thank goodness, as for No-Face, he's still living with Zaniba." He sighed.
"Haku, what's wrong?" I asked. He wasn't acting like this before.
"It's nothing." He said with a deeper sigh.
"If it's nothing then why are you sighing?" I said as I walked in front of him.
"I'm just a bit upset I suppose." He said with a smug look on his face.
"Upset? About what?" I said as I felt him clutch my hand.
"About you not telling me why you really want to stay here." He said.
"Haku?"
"And that you keep calling me that." He said as he looked down.
"But it's a lot easier then saying Kohaku all the time." I said as I grabbed his hands.
"Did you honestly think that I'd forget your real name?" I smiled as he looked up.
"I see, but Chihiro, please tell me, why do you want to stay here?" He asked again.
There's really no way I can get out of telling him. I took a deep breathe and decided to him 'what happened'.
"Alright, someone did something that made me uncomfortable and I told myself that I don't want to see him anymore, only problem is, he lives close by and we go to the same school, and his sister is also my friend and no matter what I really don't want to see him again!" I said, probably sounding a bit angry at the end.
"I see, what did he do that made you so uncomfortable?" Haku asked with a curious expression.
Darn! I knew this was gonna happen if I explained it that way, I just didn't think he would catch on.
"Um well, he uh." I stuttered
I looked up at Haku, he looked a bit pissed off. Was he guessing what happened? Can he tell by my hesitation?
"Uh well he.."
"He did this to you didn't he?" Haku said as he pressed his lips against mine.
I felt my entire face boil over. As his lips departed from mine, I felt myself get angry, then embarrassed, then finally happy. Why was I  happy.
"Well is that what he did?" Haku whispered to me.
I felt angry again.
"No, well yes, except he kissed my cheek, not my lips! Why did you do that?" I yelled, well maybe screamed.
"To be honest I really don't know, but I'm happy I did, I finally got an answer out of you, and I got to kiss you, so I'm a bit relieved." Haku said with a stupid smile on his face.
I was still steaming, but hearing him say that he was happy that he did kiss me some how made me happy.
"Chihiro, I know it's not a real good reason for you to stay here, but the thought of another man touching you makes me upset, so since it's like this, I'll let you stay, on one condition though." He said as he took my hands.
"Condition?" I asked, a bit concerned.
"That you come live with me." He said.
I felt my head drop. I knew he was going to say something like that, I just didn't want him to say it. Well I guess it's better then seeing Hiroshi kun ever again.
"Fine, but I have one request?" I sighed.
"Hmm, what is it?" He said with that stupid smile on his face again.
"That you don't do anything weird like that again." I said as I wiped his kiss off my mouth.
"I can't promise that if you stay here." He said as he started walking again.
"Haku!" I said as I tried catching up with him.
"Come on, I still have that thing I want to show you." He said as he waved his hand.
I sighed a bit then ran to catch up with him.
Mom, dad, Yuki and Hana, I'm sorry but I can't return to you, I'm going to stay here with Kohaku.
I'm going to stay here and make him happy, I thought as I was thinking about how lonely he has been.
This is no longer about Hiroshi, that's what I decided.
Part two is here!!! Man I think I cried a bit while writing this, poor Haku, I torment him too much in this, but then again I torment Chihiro just as bad, maybe worse.

Any who, I hope you like it ^^
